NASCAR.COM Capped off the Season with a 71% Increase in Video Streams for Third Quarter of 2009

NASCAR.COM, the official online destination of NASCAR, capped off the season with a 71% increase in Q3 and a triple digit percent growth in November, according to Omniture. This spike added to the site’s overall growth of 22% in video streams for 2009. The redesigned video homepage that launched in February and new interactive video content were contributors to the site’s growth.
“During this season, we have dedicated time, experience and innovative technology to staying current with the needs of fans by providing a better user experience. The increase in video streams is a testament to this work and the redesigned video channel is our continued effort to provide fans with a refreshed design and a high-quality experience,” said Scott Doyne, Turner Sports senior director of business operations for NASCAR.COM. “NASCAR.COM continues to lead the way in providing the most comprehensive and innovative NASCAR coverage available on the Web.”
NASCAR.COM will continue this momentum with the launch of a redesigned version of the video channel. This version of the video channel will debut on Tues. Dec. 1 and will enhance the user experience even further by including playlist functionally, easily embeddable video on NASCAR fans’ individual websites, easier navigation to fan’s favorite video features and new technology that allows for innovative advertising integration. In addition, the new video channel will debut several special videos, exclusive content and highlights from the NASCAR banquet in Las Vegas, Nevada helping fans relive exciting moments from the season.
