Former Winner in Martinsville: “Martinsville Speedway is a finesse race track. A driver really has to be smooth going around it or the slightest mistake can cost you seconds that you don’t have. You have to have a pit strategy that can help you stay up front once you get there or one that gets you there so you can work your magic. But you also have to really watch out for so many things at once. It is short and fast so staying alert and on your toes is key. Watching ahead of you to know what is unfolding, watching behind you so you don’t get spun or passed, gearing up and down quickly, and watching for lapped traffic – man you are busy at this track. The thing is in Martinsville if you miss your mark by the slightest inch, it can cost you time you don’t have.”

Getting Back in Victory Lane: “Getting back to victory lane just sounds so good, just saying it. All of us drivers go to the tracks each week trying to get to victory lane, so Martinsville wouldn’t be any different in that department. But knowing that you have led the most laps and been to victory lane there makes you have a different outlook, a more confident outlook I should say. It would be a great way for me to celebrate being a dad, but every day is a celebration in that department.”

Jim Harris on Winning at Home Track: “I think winning Martinsville would be a great feat for this team as it was for BHR last year! Winning at what is declared your home track is always where you want to win FIRST!”
