Looking for Momentum: “Our third place in Dover gives us a lot of momentum for Texas. Our whole HT Motorsports team is working together and both teams have a lot of momentum. Unfortunately it seems like Terry (Cook) and I can’t finish well together, either he has a good race or I do.Hopefully, we can put it all together and both of our trucks can run good like we did at Charlotte. We’ve just got a lot of good things going on in the shop and everybody is working hard. It seems like our program is getting stronger and stronger. Jim (Harris, team owner) is giving us the tools and we’re taking advantage of it by trying to put the pieces together to be competitive. I’m just proud of being a part of it.”
Your Travel Coordinator: “It’s nice to stay at home this weekend. I have been traveling so much lately, it will be great to sleep in my own bed. I only live about six miles from the track in Texas, so it’s an easy route in and out for me. I love telling people if you come to Texas you have to check out Joe T Garcias Mexican restaurant in Fort Worth. It is the best food! But if you are looking for some sites to see, you must drive by the new Texas Stadium or see where John F. Kennedy was shot because the area was all pretty much preserved after that time. It’s a neat piece of history.”
Starr Racing: “I have a very unique and realistic simulator program that I rent out to businesses in town to get a real racing experience. It goes to a lot of places like WalMart, hotel chains, Coca-Cola functions, etc. We have a lot of fun renting those out and doing events with them around the area. I also help my uncle with his Team Texas High Performance Driving School. It is a Sprint cup driving school that has about 50 Sprint cup cars that they buy from the teams. Clients and sponsors can bring their customers there to use it to give people a once in a life time experience. I don’t have as much time to devote to that as I would like because my own racing career takes me on the road a lot, but if I have the time, I’m there helping him.
