MILWAUKEE MARKS 100TH START FOR WYLER RACING:
The Copart 200 on Friday night will mark the four year anniversary for Wyler Racing as they make their 100th start with the No. 60 Toyota Tundra at the Milwaukee Mile. It was four years ago that Jeff Wyler debuted the No. 60 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Since then, the team has racked up some impressive statistics, including three wins, four pole positions, 20 top-five and 37 top-10 finishes. Stacy Compton looks to add to those statistics as he returns to Milwaukee, a track he’s “always ran really well” at.
COMPTON ON RACING IN MILWAUKEE:“Milwaukee is always a blast. In Milwaukee, you can buy tickets to go in the infield so there’s always a swarm of people there all the time. The people in Milwaukee are starving for racing. When you go up there, it’s fun. Milwaukee is part of the State Fairgrounds so the access to the pits is a little bit easier than it is at some of the other tracks. That being said, it’s pretty fun because you always have people walking around that want autographs or want to talk. At a lot of the other race tracks, you don’t get the chance to do that. So it’s fun. Milwaukee is a neat town. There’s always something to do up there.”
COMPTON HAS CONFIDENCE AT MILWAUKEE:
“Marcus (Richmond, Crew Chief) has won on flat tracks and we’ve always ran good on the flat tracks too. With that beings said, I think we can go there with a lot more confidence. We’re going there with more confidence probably than we’ve had in a long time simply because Marcus and I are starting to figure each other out.”
THE CREW CHIEF’S CHOICE FOR MILWAUKEE:
Marcus Richmond has selected chassis number 107 for the Copart 200. “This is the same truck that we took to Kansas,” said Richmond. “We thought we were really good before it rained, but we had carburetor issues once it rained. I feel like this truck responded really well at Kansas so I think it’s a good choice for Milwaukee. The last three weekends we feel like we’ve been in a position to finish in the top-10, but we just haven’t been able to capitalize on it. This track here, it’s all left up to me and Stacy. Aero is kind of out of the question and engines are not as big of a deal as they are at Michigan and Texas, so it’s pretty much left up to me and Stacy to make this thing good this weekend.”

COMPTON’S CAREER AT THE MILWAUKEE MILE:

In Truck Series competition, Compton has accrued five starts, one top-10 finish, and 35 laps led. His best NCWTS qualifying effort at Milwaukee (4th) came in 1999, as did his best finish of 10th that same year. Compton’s NNS stats include five starts, two top-10 finishes, and one lap led. His best NNS finish came when he finished 6th in 2006.
