July 28, 2009 (Mooresville, N.C.) - The 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season has been a wild roller coaster ride for the No. 30 Tundra team of Germain Racing since just before the season began. Primary sponsorship was no where to be found when Todd Bodine drove the unsponsored Tundra into victory lane to kick off the season at Daytona International Speedway. Ventrilo, a product of Flagship Industries, was the first company to announce a multi-race program with the No. 30 Ventrilo Tundra. That relationship debuted at Kansas Speedway and has continually grown. Germain Racing is proud to race the Ventrilo Tundra this weekend in the Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville Superspeedway, the third of five races with Ventrilo as the primary sponsor.

“Nashville racing is always special because we are racing to win for Toyota, in front of a lot of Toyota associates in the Toyota Tundra 200. Then, if you win, you get one of the most unique trophies in racing. Nashville will be even more special for this Germain Racing team because we are taking Ventrilo with us as part of a growing relationship with the Flagship Industries brand,” said driver Bodine.

Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. can’t wait to get the Ventrilo Tundra to Nashville.

“Ventrilo has become a huge part of the success of Germain Racing and we look forward to continuing to return that favor by getting the Ventrilo brand name out to NASCAR fans and business partners. Nashville is a great race track for the Ventrilo Tundra team. We hope to make it a great race track for Ventrilo,” said Hillman Jr.

The No. 30 Ventrilo Tundra chassis that Bodine will drive at Nashville is a familiar one to the truck series champ—he drove it to Victory Lane in Texas and has also had two very strong race performances out of the truck at Dover and Kentucky.

“We’re taking our Texas winner (Chassis TRD-124) to Nashville. I love it. It’s a good truck—we could race it everywhere,” said Bodine.

Bodine is ranked fourth in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points with two wins this season. Bodine races the Ventrilo Tundra Saturday night at Nashville Superspeedway. Tune into to SPEED, or MRN, at 8:00 PM Eastern.

Germain Racing began in 2004 as a part-time Truck Series team which has earned two or more wins every year and has finished in the top-five in the championship standings in each of its four full-time seasons. Opportunities are available now for your company to add the competitive spirit of Germain Racing to your internal or external marketing efforts. Visit www.germainracing.com for information.

On How the Ventrilo Tundra Should Handle at Nashville

“You want the Ventrilo Tundra free everywhere but being Nashville is a real fast track with long sweeping corners, the Ventrilo Tundra has definitely got to turn really well through the corners.”

On What it Takes to Win at Nashville

“We’ve definitely been close and we should have won at Nashville. We just have to put it all together to get the Ventrilo Tundra into the winner’s circle there. To win at Nashville, you’ve got to have everything go right—the right strategy, right track position…Nashville is a fast track so aero is very important, and with the concrete surface, handling can play a huge part.”

Mike Hillman Jr., Crew Chief, No. 30 Ventrilo Tundra

On Strategy for Nashville

“We treat Nashville like a mile and a half, even though it isn’t. We are good at mile and a half tracks, so we bring that with us. Nashville is a track where your setup is one-of-a-kind, so it takes some extra effort from the Germain Racing team to prepare for it, but we always like our chances there.”
