Dennis Setzer / MRD Motorsports Bristol Post Race Report
Press ReleaseThe MRD Motorsports team unloaded another finely tuned race truck that Randy Dean and Crew had prepared for tonight’s race at Bristol. Dennis was making his way to the front when the lapped truck of Nate Monteith on lap 38 got loose and spun and collected the MRD Motorsports Chevy Silverado’s right front corner sending him into see Randy Dean and Crew for repairs losing two laps which at Bristol is almost impossible to make up with a wounded truck.
Dennis raced extremely hard to finish in the 21st position tonight. Dennis with this 21st place finish continues to hold on to Eighth Place in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points and closed the gap from 105 to just 98 points out of the fifth position. MRD Motorsports owner Dave Malcomson has made the announcement that they are looking to run a Nationwide Race team along with the Truck team for 2010 and that could be split in any of two ways with Nationwide Series as primary and 8 NCWTS races or Camping World Truck Series still being primary series and adding 8 Nationwide races. Any way you look at it MRD Motorsports will have a new look for 2010 offering a much higher exposure ratio for our Sponsor Partners.
