Trucks make first trip to Chicagoland
Caught in the Catchfence™The Camping World Truck Series will invade Chicagoland Speedway for the first time for a Friday night showdown — the EnjoyIllinois.com 225.
Most of the race field will be on at least somewhat equal footing, considering that nobody has raced a truck at the track, but Kyle Busch would probably be an exception. Despite the Trucks running a stand-alone event this weekend, as the Sprint Cup Series takes the weekend off and the Nationwide Series will be in Montreal, Busch will compete in Friday night’s race before heading north to Canada.
While the Nationwide and Sprint Cup series vehicles are quite different, Busch has piloted both at Chicagoland, and there’s probably some data that will transfer. If nothing else, the track time should count for something. - Full Story by Amanda Vincent – Louisville NASCAR Examiner
