Loudon, NH (September 20, 2009)- Kyle “Rowdy” Busch returned to Victory Lane with the No. 51 Miccosukee Resort / Graceway Pharmaceuticals Billy Ballew Motorsports team Saturday, September 19, 2009 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway after a close call on fuel almost vaporized the victory.

Busch placed the Toyota Tundra in the second-place position for the 200-lap Heluvagood 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event and looked to take the lead on lap one when he and the pole sitter got a little loose forcing Busch to let off and not take the point position. The spot didn’t hold long with the driving phenom picking up the point position by lap 17.

While leading Busch reported in to the Miccosukee Resort/Graceway Pharmaceuticals team that the truck was “a tick tight” discussing adjustments with crew chief Richie Wauters on what to do on the first pit stop. That stop came on lap 37, taking on four tires and returning for fuel, cycling out in the third-place position for the restart on lap 42.

By lap 44, Busch had regained the lead but lost the spot on lap 67. Busch held the second-place position until the next pit stop on lap 93 where the Billy Ballew Motorsports team took on fuel only with minor track bar and wedge adjustments.

Busch restarted in the third-place position on lap 98 advancing to the second-place position by lap 99 of the 200-lap race.

Suddenly, Busch called in on the radio on lap 119 that the Tundra was overheating. The team discovered that there was something stuck on the grill of his truck causing the temperature to rise. With the help of the No. 57 lapped truck Busch was able to use aerodynamics to remove the debris from the grill of the truck and normalize the temperature gauges.

Busch lost a position during the overheating running in the third-place position when green-flag pit stops started to occur on the racetrack. Busch came in for his pit stop for four seconds of fuel and a track bar adjustment on lap 172.

After the cycle of green-flag pit stops, Busch inherited the lead on lap 178. He drove away from the pack of trucks distancing the competition until a call from crew chief, Richie Wauters. The team had calculated the fuel and discovered that Busch looked to be short on gas by five laps. Disappointed but determined to bring home the win, Busch started to conserve fuel on the No. 51 Miccosukee Resort/Graceway Pharmaceuticals Tundra.

The caution flag flew for the last time on lap 191 helping the team to conserve gas in the race truck. But Busch had to worry about more than fuel with the second and third place drivers in his mirror. Busch had a flawless restart, maintaining the lead and bringing home his fifth win of the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

The Series heads west where Aric Almirola will take control of the No. 51 Billy Ballew Motorsports entry at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday, September 26, 2009.
