COMPTON ON RACING AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY:“I absolutely love racing in Las Vegas. It’s on my list as probably one of my top-five tracks, as far as places that I like to race. Marcus Richmond, Crew Chief of the No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance Company / Wyler.com Toyota Tundra, has selected chassis number 107 for the Las Vegas 350. This chassis was last raced at The Milwaukee Mile where it qualified 14th and finished 6th. Prior to Milwaukee, this chassis ran at Kansas Speedway where it qualified 15th and finished 13th. This truck has underwent some modifications to the body since competing last and is expected to be one of the best Toyota’s in the Wyler Racing fleet.
COMPTON IN CAPTAINS CHOICE TOURNAMENT ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4TH:
Following the Las Vegas 350, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will enjoy three weeks off before returning to action at Compton’s hometown track of Martinsville Speedway (Martinsville, Va.) on Saturday, October 24th. During the break, Compton will participate in a Captains Choice Golf Tournament that is open to the public at Twin Oaks Golf Club in Statesville, N.C. The tournament will kick off with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 4th. COMPTON’S PAST AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY:
Stacy Compton will make his sixth career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, marking the 14th start of his career at the Las Vegas oval. Compton has five starts in NCWTS competition at the 1.5-mile tri-oval, where he has one pole position, two top-10s, and has led four laps. Compton has five NASCAR Nationwide Series starts with his only top-10 performance coming in 2002 after he qualified sixth and finished 10th. Compton also has three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts in Las Vegas. His best outing in that series came in 2001 while he was driving for Mark Melling and qualified 26th and went on to finish 27th.

Wyler Racing returns to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2009 for its fourth full-time season, after making its series debut in 2005. In their very first fully fledged season in the NCWTS, Wyler Racing grabbed two wins, two pole positions, 10 top-five, and 14 top-10s, finishing fifth in points overall. The following year, Wyler Racing backed that up by winning one race, scoring two pole positions, taking six top-five, 10 top-10s and finishing ninth in points overall.
