LAS VEGAS (09-26-09) – Germain Racing was awarded its seventh pole position award on Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Driver Todd Bodine wheeled the No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Tundra around the 1.5-mile circuit at an average speed of 173.371 MPH, earning his fifth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series pole and his second NASCAR pole award at Las Vegas – his first came in the Sprint Cup Series in 2002. Saturday night’s 146-laps of racing at Las Vegas were marked by several wild moments that almost saw the Lumber Liquidators Tundra spin in front of the 35-truck field. The ‘almosts’ were thwarted by Bodine making some nice saves. He finished fourth which made the Lumber Liquidators Tundra the highest finishing Toyota.

“It feels fantastic to get a top-five finish in the Lumber Liquidators Tundra. There were a couple spins tonight that probably should have happened but we were able to save the truck. Nothing fell off the truck, we didn’t get a flat tire or anything like that – and our pit crew had another awesome night on pit road. This has been probably the toughest year of my career. Our performance hasn’t been bad, we’ve just had bad luck and it’s been a hard last few weeks for our team. After what we’ve been through, we’re pretty happy the Lumber Liquidators Tundra has come out of here in fourth,” said Bodine.

Las Vegas marked the third of four races that Bodine and the No. 30 Tundra are sporting the familiar colors and logos of Lumber Liquidators. To mark their return to the Truck Series, Lumber Liquidators ran a special promotion for race fans that began last weekend with the Truck Series race in Loudon and concludes this weekend.

“It’s been great to have Lumber Liquidators back with us for a few races this season. They ran a great promotion for race fans that ends this weekend. Even if they missed the promotion, fans should check out the savings and selection at LLFLOORS.com,” said Bodine.

The Las Vegas 350 was won by Johnny Sauter. Bodine’s fourth-place finish at Las Vegas is his seventh top-five finish of the season. The next race on the schedule is Saturday, October 24th at Martinsville Speedway in the home state of Lumber Liquidators. Martinsville is the last of the four Lumber Liquidators Tundra races for 2009, with Copart returning to the No. 30 Tundra hood for racing action at Talladega Superspeedway.

Germain Racing first competed late in the 2004 season. The Mooresville, N.C.-based team has earned two or more wins in each of its five Truck Series seasons and has earned a Truck Series championship title.
