This was Edwards’ fifth series win of the 2009 season, and his third series win at Phoenix International Raceway. Edwards is now 190 points behind points leader Kyle Busch, but with one race remaining (Homestead-Miami Speedway) all Busch needs to do is start to clinch his first NNS Championship.
Following Edwards and Harvick to the drop of the checkered flag (no green-white-checkered this time) were Reed Sorenson finishing third, Clint Bowyer fourth, Brad Keselowski fifth, David Ragan sixth, Matt Kenseth seventh, Mike Bliss eighth, Kyle Busch ninth and Steve Wallace rounds out the top-10 finishers.
