Former NASCAR racer opens auto shop in Swartz Creek
Caught in the Catchfence™Stan Boyd can’t escape the grease pit.
He began building engines at 12, began professional racing at 15, and now, at 39, he’s opened his second high-performance engine shop.
With 27 years in racing, including the NASCAR circuit, Boyd knew he was getting older in a sport getting younger, and decided to retire from it.
Two years ago he started his Engineered Victories, Inc. shop at 7524 E. Atherton, at the corner of Irish, in Davison.
On Oct. 1, he expanded to a Swartz Creek location, at 3175 S. Elms, which is still expanding.
He estimates he’s spent a half-million dollars on the expansion so far.
On Dec. 23, while many people were out doing their last minute Christmas shopping, Boyd received another shipment of equipment for his shop, which was the former Precision Automotive shop between Lennon and Miller.
