FDNY Racing’s Teammate, Col. Joseph A. Germani Passes Away

Sad news: Catchfence.com has just learned of the recent death of FDNY Racing’s teammate, Col. Joseph A. Germani best known to his friends as “Murph”.

Having served in the United States Army, ”Murph” was a veteran of multiple Vietnam tours, served his country in the Dominican Republic and was a helicopter pilot with the 1st Air Calvalry. Col. Germani was awarded more than 20 medals including the Purple Heart with clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He retired from active duty in 1993 and had resided in Pt. St. Lucie, Florida for the past 30 years.

The staff of Catchfence.com wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the loved ones and friends of Col. Germani. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have loved and lost one of this country’s military heroes.
