WIX® Filters Auctions One-of-a-Kind Signed Oil Filter Collection to Benefit the American Cancer Society

WIX Filters, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, is auctioning a collection of six pink oil filter banks signed by 47 NASCAR® Sprint® Cup drivers as part of their Filter Out Cancer campaign, which is raising money to benefit the American Cancer Society. “The Filter Out Cancer campaign is a partnership with participating customers to raise money for cancer awareness, research and support,” said Jeff Blocher, brand manager for WIX Filters. “WIX is extremely grateful for all the drivers who participated by signing one of the six pink oil filter banks we’re putting up for auction; and, thank you to the one driver who kicked-off the campaign by placing a $5 bill in one of the banks.”

The WIX Filter Out Cancer signed oil filter bank collection is truly a one-of-a-kind collectible. The heavy-duty sized oil filter banks were signed by NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers during qualifying for the NASCAR Banking 500 Only From Bank of America at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October 2009. The six filters feature 47 total signatures, matching the number of NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers who attempted to qualify for the race.

100 percent of the final sale price from this auction will be donated to the American Cancer Society, WIX Filter’s official charity partner in the WIX Filter Out Cancer campaign, through e-Bay Giving Works partner MissionFish.
