Motorsports artist Sam Bass has a longstanding relationship with the Nashville Superspeedway and Bass designs and hand-paints the Gibson Guitars given to the winners at the track. So this week, White turned to Bass to design a special paint scheme to run at the mile and a third concrete racetrack just south of the Music City.
“The truck looks fantastic, it looks like it’s going 160 miles an hour sitting in the shop,” an exuberant White explained. “We wanted to do something special for GunBroker.com this weekend under the lights. It’s just cool!”
Crew Chief Doug Howe is ready to get back on the right track, “We got caught in a bad deal last week, we have to put it behind us and move on now. The GunBroker.com guys are ready to turn this around and get back up front at Nashville.”

“We need to make up some of the points we lost at Martinsville,” White added. “We are bringing a truck we call “Buckshot” and it’s been a very good truck for us, it just looks a little different this week.”
“I’m hoping that Sam Bass paint scheme will carry us to victory lane so I can get one of those guitars he painted!”
White will make a special appearance Thursday night at Nashville Fan Fest at the Camping World Store at Opry Mills. Jason will participate in a Q&A session moderated by SPEED TV personality Ray Dunlap with the fans at 5:45pm and will sign autographs at approx 6:45pm.
There will be two morning practice sessions at the Nashville Superspeedway on Friday, April 2nd with qualifying at 4:00pm. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV at 7:00 pm and will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio.
