Kyle Busch WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race in TECH-NET Auto Service 300

• Kyle Busch led once for 64 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in today’s TECH-NET Auto Service 300.  Busch captured the honor for the SIXTH time this season.  In 132 NASCAR Nationwide Series superspeedway races, Busch has now led 91 times for 6,169 laps.

• DID YOU KNOW? Busch has led at least one lap in all 12 races this season.  He has held the top spot 12 times for a total of 755 laps.

• UNOFFICIALLY Busch leads the WIX Filters Lap Leader standings by four races (6-2) over Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick.

• Busch won today’s race at Charlotte, his fifth win and ninth top-five finish of the season.  The victory was his 27^th career superspeedway victory in 133 starts.  All five of his wins this season have been on superspeedways.  He recorded his 35^th career win in 185 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts.

• DID YOU KNOW? Busch has scored a top-five finish in eight of his last nine races including FOUR victories.

• UNOFFICIALLY Busch is second in the NASCAR Nationwide Series championship standings one point behind leader Brad Keselowski.

• BUSCH QUOTES:  “It wasn’t very dominant there in the beginning.  We started out really, really tight.  Just felt like I was over-pushing the right-front tire and wasn’t sure what I was feeling over the seems and running high and stuff&n bsp; it kinda felt soft.  And down the front straightaway a couple times it felt weird so I just wanted to be on the safe side and bring it down.  Fortunately there was nothing wrong with it but we then got a speeding penalty for exiting too fast because I was paying attention to the cars going trying to figure out where I was going to fall in line instead watching my pit road speed so my fault there.  The guys battled back hard and Jason [Ratcliff, crew chief] made some good race calls to get the car handling a lot better.  I’m real proud of the NOS Energy Drink team.  They did a great job on pit road.  We came in fourth or fifth one time and came out first and that was a pivotal stop there and I think led the rest of the way.  Got to thank those guys and what they did and giving us a good race car.”
