
It was Reed Sorenson, with a lap speed of 188.111 mph, posting the fastest speed during the first practice session, and was followed by Brian Ickler, who was second fastest with a speed of 187.903 mph, driving a Ford Mustang that is also making it’s debut in the series.
Following Sorenson and Ickler on the speed chart were Jason Leffler (187.844) who was third fastest, Joey Logano (187.613) fourth fastest, Ryan Newman (187.192) fifth, Carl Edwards (187.106) sixth, Kyle Busch (186.986) seventh, Raybestos Rookie Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (186.865) eighth, Kevin Harvick (186.676) ninth and Michael Annett (186.672) rounds out the top-10 fastest.
