Notes of Interest:

· Sorenson returns to site of his NASCAR debut – O’Reilly Raceway Park! It has been three years since Sorenson has raced a Nationwide Series car in Indianapolis, Indiana. He made his first career NASCAR start at O’Reilly Raceway Park (ORP) in August, 2004, earning a 13th-place finish after qualifying an impressive third. He also has two starts at the 0.686-mile oval in the American Speed Association (ASA) Series.

· ORP Stats: He logged his career-best start from the pole position in August, 2005 and his best finish of second in the 2006 event. In three starts, he has an average start of 4.0, an average finish of 6.0 and has led for 49 laps. He has also completed 100% of his laps (604/604).

· By the Numbers at O’Reilly! Sorenson ranks in the top-10 in several of NASCAR’s Loop Data categories, including: Average Running Position (3rd), Driver Rating (4th), Fastest Drivers Early in a Run (3rd), Fastest Drivers Late in a Run (7th), Fastest on Restarts (3rd), Green Flag Speed (2nd), Laps in Top-15 (9th), Laps Led (6th) and Speed in Traffic (4th).

· It’s Double Duty for crew chief, Trent Owens and sponsor Dollar General! This weekend the No. 32 Dollar General Toyota is entered in both the NNS race at ORP and the famed Brickyard 400 (NSCS) at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). Jacques Villeneuve will pilot Braun Racing’s No. 32 Dollar General entry in the Sprint Cup Series at IMS while crew chief, Trent Owens, will lead both the NNS and NSCS Dollar General teams.

· Chassis #028 heads to ORP! This weekend, the Dollar General team heads to Indiana with chassis #28. This chassis was last seen on track at Memphis Motorsports Park in October, 2009. Brian Ickler finished 26th after being collected in a late-race incident that damaged the radiator and resulted in an early exit. Sorenson last drove this car in July, 2009 at Gateway International Raceway where he both started and finished from the second position.

· The Dollar General team is SIXTH in the Nationwide Series Championship Owner’s Points.

Sorenson on driving returning to O’Reilly Raceway Park

“This weekend is going to be busy traveling between the two tracks, but I’m excited to return to ORP. This was where I made my first Nationwide Series start in 2004. It’s hard to believe that was six years ago. There is a lot of history tied to Indianapolis. The track has been on the NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule since the series started. I’ve run well there in the past and hopefully we can use our momentum from last weekend’s second-place finish at Gateway to put the Dollar General Toyota in to victory lane.”
