Graham Rahal Inquiring About NASCAR Ride
Caught in the Catchfence™IZOD IndyCar driver Graham Rahal may follow in the footsteps of Danica Patrick and Nelson Piquet this season.
Rahal, who parted ways with Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing last season, is reportedly checking in with NASCAR to see about a possible ride in the stock car series.
Piquet, who left Formula One behind, drove in the season-opener NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Daytona and Patrick, still a fulltime IndyCar driver, is competing in 12 Nationwide race this season.
With no ride for the upcoming IndyCar season, the Columbus, Ohio native is apparently exploring his options.
“Every minute going by and by seems to cause more of a concern,” Rahal told The Indianapolis Star. “I should be (testing IndyCar at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama).”
