But Moltz will be adding at least one more event to his schedule in 2010 away from the half-mile oval in Stafford.
Moltz, of Waterford, found out Thursday that he was the winner of the inaugural Richard Petty’s Driver Search.
Moltz, 19, has spent the week in North Carolina and South Carolina competing for the title against 12 other drivers.
By winning the competition Moltz will get the chance to qualify for the ARCA Racing Series event June 5 at Pocono Raceway in a fully-funded ride from the Richard Petty’s Driver Search program.
“It’s just unbelievable,” Moltz’s father Dave said by phone from Charlotte, N.C. late Thursday evening. “You can’t imagine how proud I am right now.”
The competition began Monday and ended Thursday for the program and took place at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., Concord (N.C.) Speedway and Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, S.C.
