Rick Ware Racing Taking Steps in charity walk
Press Release
RWR drivers, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Brett Butler, Ken Butler III, Mike Guerity and Timmy Hill will be at Freedom Park in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Charlotte Take Steps Walk!
Take Steps is CCFA’s national evening walk and celebration and the nation’s largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. It is a casual 2-3 mile stroll to raise money for crucial research, bringing us closer to a future free from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Over 1.4 million American adults and children are affected by these digestive diseases, including RWR crew chief Kevin Heins’ wife, Margaret, who has Crohn’s. While many suffer in silence, Take Steps brings together this community in a fun and energetic atmosphere, encouraging them to make noise and be heard.
“This is important to RWR,” stated Marketing V.P. Dave Mitchell. “Crohns & Colitis has an effect on us at our foundation. Not only does Kevin’s wife suffer from the disease, but so does a family member of one of our sponsors, KIDSEmbrace.
RWR will not only have five drivers in the walk, but the #6 KIDSEmbrace truck will be on display as well.
“We want NASCAR fans to join us in our race to raise money for the cure. Come walk arm and arm with the drivers and if you can’t make it to the event, please donate to the cure for our organization at www.wareracing.net.”
