Tanner Berryhill No Rookie At Iowa Speedway

July 7, 2010 – Tulsa Oklahoma based Vision Racing Team has entered the sixteen year old standout, Tanner Berryhill into the ARCA RE/MAX series presented by Menards, Prairie Meadows 200 on July 10th live on Speed channel at 8pm. Berryhill comes into the Prairie Meadows 200 with momentum from his prior years near win in the ASA late model challenge series event at Iowa Speedway.
His runner up position nearly landed the, then fifteen year old driver his first speedway win in the ASA Challenge Series. “I am very excited to make Iowa Speedway my first ARCA event because of my level of comfort there and the facility is amazing” said Berryhill. At just sixteen years old Berryhill has won in every level of racing he has competed in from Bandolero and Legends car championships to full sized trucks at 14 years old and ASCS II Sprints. Last season in late models saw Berryhill post seven top tens in his last seven starts with seventh being his lowest finish and five top five finishes all while competing in national touring late model series. This has made Berryhill become recognized as one of the hottest short track drivers in the nation. This year, Berryhill has already continued his ways with a top five and setting on the outside pole at Rockingham in the ASA Sunoco National Late Model Tour.
Vision Racing recently purchased a top quality Chevrolet Impala from Kevin Harvick Inc. and will have team support from KHI crew members during pit stops. “Were thrilled to have the Harvick guys help us out with Tanner, that adds a certain level of confidence for a young driver and we know the pits are something he will not have to worry about” said team owner Adrian Berryhill. “Rick Carelli has been great to work with in selling us this car and helping with race notes”, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with him and KHI.” said Adrian.
Vision Racing has competed in the ARCA Racing Series in the past with drivers Zac Chappell, Tyler Walker, Will Vaught and Damon Lusk as well as several Nationwide Series starts with Randy Lajoie. Damon Lusk nearly brought home the checkers for Vision Racing at Daytona running as high as second and finishing in the fifth position a few years ago. “I am thrilled to have the same sponsor, AmeriCashAdvance.Com from the Daytona race on board with us for Tanners debut” Said Berryhill. Damon will be on hand as a driver coach and spotter to Tanner on raceday. “I’ve watched this kid grow up in racing and he is very talented and it’s great to see him get this opportunity” said Damon.
Vision Racing is excited to continue its entry into several of this years ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards races and is looking for additional sponsorship to help bring its young ace up through the ranks. “We are certain Tanner has what it takes to get to the next level, he ran nearly 3000 miles on speedways last year posting amazing finishes on tracks he had never seen before as a true late model rookie and not one time hurt our cars!” said team manager Mike Borrell.
