Bixby High School student on fast track to racing success
Caught in the Catchfence™Adrian Berryhill, who one day hopes to have a Tulsa-based race team in NASCAR, is helping his son Tanner take another step toward that goal.
“I think it is a natural progression,” said Adrian Berryhill. “I think Tanner is ready for this and we’re ready for this.”
Bixby teenager Tanner Berryhill, on the fast track toward what he hopes will be a career as a driver in NASCAR, will jump up to the ARCA Racing Series and race in the Prairie Meadows 200 at Iowa Speedway on Saturday.
The ARCA Racing Series is considered perhaps the top feeder program for drivers headed toward one of NASCAR’s top series.
“I think it was time to make this move,” said Adrian Berryhill. “We had a bunch of things kind of come together at the same time to make this possible.
“Obviously, we felt like Tanner was ready for the move. We got the car we needed and this is the perfect track for us to make this move.”
Adrian Berryhill is the founder and owner of Vision Racing Team. The Tulsa-based race team has run cars in a variety of racing series, including NASCAR’s Nationwide Series with driver Randy Lajoie.
Vision Racing has experience on the ARCA Racing Series with four different drivers.
