· This Week’s Car …
Allgaier Motorsports is bringing car No. 402 for driver Robb Brent to pilot this weekend at Pocono Raceway. Car 402 came to the team from Ganassi Racing. This will be the 4th race this season for No.402; it has finished in the top 10 at all 3 previous races. Finishing 5th at Texas Motor Speedway, 6th just a month earlier here at Pocono Raceway and 10th at Michigan International Speedway.Car 402 is one of Brent’s favorites and the whole Allgaier Motorsports team is excited to be back at Pocono for a 2nd time this season.
· Brent at Pocono … This will be Brent’s 6th trip to the 2.5- mile in Northern, PA. In his 5 previous starts Brent has managed to lead 10 laps and finish among the top 10 every race. A month ago Brent was able to bring the Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram- Charger home 6th. Brent’s average starting spot at the tricky triangle shaped speedway is 15.4 with a very respectable finishing average of 6.2. In the spring race here Brent was caught during green flag pit stops by an untimely caution and unable to compete for the win.
· Allgaier Motorsports at Pocono … Pocono Raceway is one of Allgaier Motorsports’ favorite tracks, with 9 previous starts, dating back to 2006. The team has a combined average starting spot of 10.8 and an average finish of 8.2. Allgaier Motorsports has lead a combined total of 62 laps, with 1 win, 2 top 5’s, 7 top 10’s, and in all 9 of their starts they have managed to come home with all top 20 finishes.
· Previous Winner … Allgaier Motorsports visited victory lane at Pocono Raceway with previous driver, 2008 ARCA Racing Series Champion, Justin Allgaier. Allgaier piloted the No. 16 from the outside front row starting position on August 2, 2008 to the teams’ first victory at the 2.5-mile tricky triangle.
· Meet the Driver …
o PNC Field… On Friday, July 30th from 6:45pm – 7:15pm Robb Brent will be signing autographs at PNC Field – Home to the Scranton/ Wilkes- Barre Yankees. Triple-A affiliate to the New York Yankees.
o Tweet-up… On Saturday, July 31st at 11:00am in the FanZone Robb Brent will be available to chat with fans and media as well as sign autographs at the ARCA Racing Series Tweet-up at Pocono Raceway.
