ARCA West coming to Super Oval
Caught in the Catchfence™The ARCA West racing series makes its only Washington stop of the year at Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval on Saturday night, and several familiar names will be in the field when the white flag flies.
Track owner Garrett Evans — who is racing a limited schedule this season as he acts as pit crew for his daughter’s car — will make a rare 2010 appearance behind the wheel, and Brent Harris and Shane Mitchell are also among the drivers who will compete in the ARCA race.
Chad Holaday will make his season debut in ARCA racing on Satuday.
“This is the first race I’ve ran,” he said. “I’ve got a brand new Super Late Model car, and it’s pretty cool to have a chance to race in your own backyard.”
Holaday, like Mitchell, still competes regularly at WVSO. Holaday drives in the Mini Super Stocks class, while Mitchell competes in both Late Models and B Modifieds. In fact, Mitchell will be pulling double duty on Saturday.
