Justin Marks / Baker Curb Racing Circuit Gilles Villeneuve Preview
Press Release
Justin Marks will make his seventh career NASCAR Nationwide Series start and first of 2010, driving the No. 43 Future Electronics Ford Fusion for Baker Curb Racing in the NAPA 200. Marks has qualified in the top 15 in each of his two previous starts at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, including a Nationwide Series-best starting spot of seventh in the 2009 NAPA 200. Marks will be pulling double-duty this weekend, flying to Montreal after racing the ARCA Racing Series race at Chicagoland Speedway on Friday night.
JUSTIN MARKS ON CIRCUIT GILLES VILLENEUVE
“I’m looking forward to going back to Montreal and excited to drive for Baker Curb Racing. Baker Curb has proven in the road courses this season that they can run in the top 10 and contend for the win. Future Electronics is the sponsor on my car again this year and I’m excited about that, they’ve been on my car for all three races at Montreal. Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is really a unique track. Having good brakes is a must to be successful with all of the tight corners. Passing is very difficult but if you can out brake people it is possible. Forward bite is also very important because basically there are three drag strips throughout the course. This event is always gets great support from the fans and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.”
CHASSIS 78 LOOKING FOR ANOTHER TOP-10 FINISH
Marks primary Ford Fusion for Sunday’s race will be BCR chassis 78. 78 is the car that Owen Kelly finished fifth with at Road America and Nelson Piquet Jr. drove to a seventh-place finish at Watkins Glen this season. The car has also qualified in the top 10 both times this season.
