GRIFFIN, GA (September 10, 2010) – Max Gresham returns to the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) ranks this weekend at Toledo Speedway hoping to return to the form that earned him his first career ARCA pole position and victory earlier this season.

“We’re looking to rebound at Toledo,” said Gresham, who finished a disappointing 13th in his most recent ARCA event at Berlin Speedway on August 7. “It will be the last time we get to run an ARCA short-track race this season and we’d like to get another victory. We know we have a good car, it’s just a matter of getting the job done. ”

Gresham, who won the Tim Richmond Memorial 200 in just his third career ARCA start on July 17, will wheel the No. 71 Gresham Motorsports Toyota in Sunday’s Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers 200. Despite having never tested or raced at the famed half-mile paved Toledo oval, Gresham is confident the team will have a good run.

“Our challenge will be to adapt to track as fast as I can,” Gresham stated. “Gene (crew chief Gene Roberts) has been to Toledo several times with other drivers and he’ll get us up to speed pretty quickly. Our Gresham Motorsports guys have been able to do that all year despite our inexperience in the ARCA Series.”

Gresham, a 17-year-old high school student who has also won a pair of NASCAR K&N Pro Series events this season behind the wheel of the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, thinks he has a pretty good idea on how to win Sunday’s race.

“It’ll be all about saving tires being there at the end,” Gresham stated. “You have to stay out of trouble and have enough left to win at the end of the race. Whoever has the best race strategy and tires late in the event will win the race.”

The Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers 200 will get underway with ARCA practice Saturday, September 11, at 12:30 p.m. Qualifying is later Saturday at 3:30.

Sunday’s 200-lap race at Toledo Speedway takes the green flag at 2 p.m. Eastern Time.
