Chad Hackenbracht / CGH Motorsports Kansas Speedway Post Race Report
Press Release
By lap 28 Chad Hackenbracht jumped up to fifth place passing Joey Coulter and Frank Kimmel as he begin to work for 4th position on Sheltra, the current points leader of the 2010 ARCA Racing Series season. As lap 34 rolled around he was running times as fast as or faster than the leader as he continued to follow Sheltra towards the front.
Lap 47 brought out the caution for the second time as the No. 58 Tastee Apple Chevrolet blew a front right tire dropping Chad down to 21st position but not out of the hunt yet. “The pit crew really handled the pit stop well fixing the fender and getting Chad back out on the track,” stated Crew Chief Rodney Jockisch.
The race resumed on lap 51 and Chad quickly showed how fast his No. 58 Tastee Apple Chevrolet was as he moved up to become the first car -2 laps down running in the 18th position and awaiting a caution. Chad came over the radio to let the crew know, “Guys we still have a rocket ship”. Chad continued to drive in this spot still running lap times equal to the top 5.
As lap 82 rolled around Chad would need to bring the #58 Tastee Apple Chevrolet to pit road one more time as a vibration was being felt in the car. The team pulled the car behind the wall as something as the car had broken a rear gear ending a great run for Chad and the #58 team.
“Today was a great day for Chad and the team even when they were faced with some issues that could not be helped. The team continues to show their resolve and the confidence that CGH Motorsports and driver Chad Hackenbracht will be here to compete on a weekly basis and show that we have the stuff to run up front,” stated General Manager Jordan Dahl. “Chad continues to impress me showing that he has a never give up attitude even when things may not go his way. His confidence and maturity on and off the track shows that he will have a great future in motorsports.”
The team continues to look for marketing partners to help fund the 2011 efforts of CGH Motorsports and Chad Hackenbracht so he can race the full ARCA Racing Series season.
