As tough economic times continue to take a toll throughout the NASCAR community, veteran driver Scott Wimmer finds himself at the mercy of uncommitted sponsorship dollars. “We’ve seen a substantial number of deals fall to the wayside over the past few months as sponsors continue to adjust commitment and sponsorship levels” said Wimmer

Wimmer brings 8 years of NASCAR Nationwide, Sprint Cup, and truck racing experience to the table, along with a successful history of positive sponsor relationships. When asked about the ever-changing NASCAR community Wimmer said, “I’ve seen this sport grow so much over the past 8 years. Historically NASCAR has the world’s greatest fans and most dedicated sponsors. The sport is filled with such a high level of quality competition; I’m raring to go this season”.

Wimmer was an integral part of a successful 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series season with JRM and Key Motorsports; making 30 starts throughout the season with 3 top-ten finishes, and finished 16th overall in driver points. Wimmer also helped revitalize the Sprint Cup series number 4 Morgan-McClure Motorsports Chevy at Bristol Motor Speedway.
