For The First Time Ever 2 Rookie Women Make Their Nationwide Debuts at Daytona

The NASCAR races at Daytona are usually exhilarating; the thundering of car engines, thousands of fans cheering in the stands.  This year will be nothing less than groundbreaking, as the world watches the long awaited meeting of Chrissy and Danica. For the first time ever in NASCAR history, two rookie women drivers will not only be making their nationwide debut at the 52 annual Daytona races, but they will be going head to head… and everyone is watching.

For the past few weeks, all talk has been encircling whether or not Danica would participate in Daytona, meanwhile flying under the radar, Chrissy Wallace has announced she will be in the same race and this is actually her sport.  Now ready to take the world by storm, Chrissy will take her stand as the best newcomer in the sport at the high banks of Daytona.

Danica may have the Indy experience but Chrissy has the NASCAR pedigree.  Part of the Wallace Dynasty, Chrissy, 21, is no novice to racing.  The daughter of Mike and niece of Rusty and Kenny; Chrissy was driving with the best of the best by the age of 9, when she took home a win at Atlanta Motor Speedway.   “When I was young, I wanted to be the first successful female driver, entering into the track at Daytona is such a dream come true,” shares Chrissy.  Make no mistake; this dream is a culmination of years of hard work.  With Chrissy’s entry come numerous shattered records at Daytona: the first time in history that 4 Wallace’s compete in a series, the first time a woman has had her debut at Daytona and the first father-daughter race in a Nationwide series.

Chrissy is a member of the Rick Ware Racing Team, one of only two organizations that race professionally in AMA and NASCAR.  RWR was thrilled to welcome the first female to win a feature race at Hickory Motor Speedway, known to insiders as “The Birthplace of Stars”.  In 2009, RWR won 2 championships, totaling 13 championships in the past 14 years.  This year their official sponsor, Fuel Doctor USA, is excited to be along for the ride as Chrissy makes NASCAR history.
