Chrissy Wallace and Danica Patrick Make History Going Head-to-Head at 52nd Annual Daytona
Press ReleaseFor The First Time Ever 2 Rookie Women Make Their Nationwide Debuts at Daytona

For the past few weeks, all talk has been encircling whether or not Danica would participate in Daytona, meanwhile flying under the radar, Chrissy Wallace has announced she will be in the same race and this is actually her sport. Now ready to take the world by storm, Chrissy will take her stand as the best newcomer in the sport at the high banks of Daytona.
Danica may have the Indy experience but Chrissy has the NASCAR pedigree. Part of the Wallace Dynasty, Chrissy, 21, is no novice to racing. The daughter of Mike and niece of Rusty and Kenny; Chrissy was driving with the best of the best by the age of 9, when she took home a win at Atlanta Motor Speedway. “When I was young, I wanted to be the first successful female driver, entering into the track at Daytona is such a dream come true,” shares Chrissy. Make no mistake; this dream is a culmination of years of hard work. With Chrissy’s entry come numerous shattered records at Daytona: the first time in history that 4 Wallace’s compete in a series, the first time a woman has had her debut at Daytona and the first father-daughter race in a Nationwide series.

Exemplifying girl power, Chrissy will also be sporting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure logo on her Fuel Doctor USA car to help raise awareness for breast cancer. She recognizes that the disease has affected many in the motorsports family, including drivers, crew members, fans and their families, and she aspires to help Komen create a world without breast cancer. Chrissy looks forward to further supporting Komen through the 2010 racing season, by raising funds and awareness for such an important cause. To learn more visit www.komen.org
