SCOTT LAGASSE JR. ON RICHMOND
“I’m really excited about having Warranty Direct on board our No. 43 this weekend in Richmond. We’ve had our two best finishes of the season on the shorter tracks and I expect that we’ll be real competitive on Friday night. We are taking car 81, which is the same car that we finished eighth with at Phoenix a few weeks ago. The guys in the shop have been working really hard to make the car even better, so I’m looking forward to seeing what we have.
The layout of Richmond is a little different than most of the short tracks. It seems like the more unique a track is, the more I enjoy running at it. I noticed last year a lot of teams seemed to be struggling with brakes for some reason and it has also been a problem on the shorter tracks this year. We really haven’t had any break issues this season, I think that will be an advantage at Richmond.”
