CREW CHIEF RICK VIERS ON DOVER
“Everybody in the shop is pumped up about this weekend and ready to bounce back from a rough day in Darlington. We are taking car 83, which is the same car we ran with Johnny Sauter at Nashville. The one thing that sticks out to me about Dover is that when you go into the corners, it’s like diving off of a two-story building.
It is important that the driver feels secure getting into the turns and once the car is in the middle of the corners you have to be able to turn well. We’ve made several adjustments on the car this week to try and tighten the car up and make it feel more secure into the corners for Greg. Greg is an aggressive driver and that is what we like about him. Hopefully these adjustments will give him the security he needs to be more aggressive this weekend.”
