· A former winner at CMS, Sorenson knows how to get around the1.5-mile speedway! In 2004, Sorenson collected his first career ASA (American Speed Association) win in the series’ biggest event of the year, the inaugural race at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord, NC). Later that same year, he made his ARCA Racing Series debut. He put on an impressive performance, starting the 73-lap race from the third position and finishing fourth!
· Braun Racing announced on Friday that Sorenson will drive the No. 32 Dollar General Toyota in the remaining NNS races for which teammate, Brian Vickers, was originally scheduled. These include events at Charlotte Motor Speedway (May and October), Daytona Superspeedway (July), Michigan International Speedway (August) and Atlanta Motor Speedway (September).
· Sorenson will be signing autographs at the NASCAR SpeedPark in Concord, N.C. on Wednesday, May, 26 from 6-7 p.m. The SpeedPark is located at 8461 Concord Mills Blvd, Concord, NC 28027. (Phone: 704.979-6770)

· The Dollar General team rolls into Charlotte FIFTH in the Nationwide Series Championship Owner’s Points.

“I’m excited to be in the Dollar General Toyota for this weekend’s Nationwide Series race, but I certainly wish it was under different circumstances and not because Brian couldn’t be. He’s been a big part of this team for a few years now and I know the entire Dollar General team will miss him behind the wheel. Brian is a great friend, teammate and race car driver. He means a lot to our sport with what he does both on and off the race track. I know I speak for most drivers and crew members throughout the garage when I say we hope to see him back at the race track doing what he loves to do very soon.”
Reed Sorenson on Charlotte Motor Speedway:
“With Charlotte Motor Speedway being a ‘home track’ for most NASCAR teams, there are always a lot of friends and family at the track, which makes a win here that much more fun. This is actually where I won my first ASA race. All of the Braun Racing teams run great at Charlotte. They have a great track record here with a win and a pole position in recent years. This Dollar General team has had a great season so far and I really think we can contend for the win on Saturday! We are definitely ready for it and with Dollar General guests here this weekend, I’d love to make their trip extra special.”
