LEBANON, Tenn. – Just five days remain in a special online auction for a Nashville Superspeedway-themed, Sam Bass-designed Gibson Les Paul guitar. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Hands On Nashville and Middle Tennessee flood relief efforts. The current bid is $3,100.

Fans can log on to NashvilleSuperspeedway.com to see photos of the guitar and place their bid by clicking on the “Flood Relief Guitar Auction” icon. The auction will end on June 14, 2010 at 8 p.m. CT.

The guitar, a Gibson Les Paul featuring the design of NASCAR artist Sam Bass, is autographed by the June 5, 2010 “Federated Auto Parts 300” NASCAR Nationwide Series race winner Brad Keselowski, Grammy-nominated Warner Bros. recording artist and race honorary starter John Rich, and Bass. Keselowski, driver of the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge, scored his second victory in Music City on June 5 and currently leads the NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings.

To date, charitable initiatives surrounding the June 4-5, 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series race weekend in Nashville have raised over $70,000 for flood relief efforts in Middle Tennessee. Nashville Superspeedway, together with John Rich, Nationwide Insurance and Big Machine Records, presented a check for $66,160 on June 5 to Hands On Nashville and the Nashville chapter of the American Red Cross. Additional monetary and canned good donations were made to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee through collections at the Race Fest for Flood Relief autograph session and silent auction on race weekend.

NASCAR returns to Nashville Superspeedway on Aug. 7, 2010 with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call 1-866-RACE-TIX or visit NashvilleSuperspeedway.com.
