June 19, 2010

· Leffler back in the seat of the No. 38 Great Clips Camry… This weekend at Road America, Leffler will return to the seat of the No. 38 machine. He will remain in the No. 38 for the remainder of the season with the exception of events at Bristol Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway where he will pilot the team’s No. 10 entry.

· Road racing, by the numbers… In 11 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at road course races including those in Watkins Glen, Mexico City and Montreal, Leffler has four top-10 finishes. His best performance at a road course race came in Mexico City in 2007 when he started 23rd and brought home a sixth-place finish.

· Who’s on the pit box… For the next two weekends, veteran crew chief, Eddie Pardue, will call the shots for Leffler and the No. 38 team. Pardue has spent the last ten years at Roush Racing where he has moved quickly through the ranks and has served as a crew chief since 2006 for the team’s Nationwide Series program.

· Get Fired Up with Great Clips… Great Clips is launching the second round of the Fire Me Up contest. Customers can enter two ways: either by texting “Fire” to Whale (94253) or by visiting www.greatclips.com and choosing the Fire Me Up Sweepstakes. The code is: Fire. The grand prize winner will receive a once in a lifetime trip for two to the Great Clips 300 in Atlanta. In addition, the winner will be able to watch the race from the pits, have a meet and greet with Kasey Kahne and Jason Leffler, ride in the pace car and receive a personalized fire suit. Registration starts on June 7th and ends on August 7th.

· Did you know? Great Clips is the longest-running sponsor in the Nationwide Series…Minneapolis-based Great Clips, Inc. came onto the scene in 2001 as a primary sponsor of Akins Motorsports No. 38 entry, then driven by Christian Elder. Kasey Kahne drove the car from 2003-2005, before Leffler took over the wheel in 2006.

· Leffler on SIRIUS’ Morning Drive every Wednesday… Don’t forget to tune in to SIRIUS Radio’s “Morning Drive” with Mike Bagley and Pete Pistone every Wednesday at 10:30am to hear Leffler’s take on recent events in the Nationwide Series and what you can expect from the week’s upcoming race.

Leffler on the series’ first road course race of the 2010 season

“I’m excited about this inaugural race at Road America. This is one of the great American road courses with a lot of history behind it. I have watched races at this track on television for a number of years and always hoped that one day I would have the opportunity to race there. I think NASCAR made a great choice in selecting this track to replace the event in Milwaukee.”

Equipment Information

The No. 38 Great Clips team will hit the track with chassis #BR030 in this weekend’s Bucyrus 300. This is the same chassis Leffler drove in last season’s event in Montreal where he started 22nd and finished 29th.
