· Leffler back in the seat of the No. 38 Great Clips Camry… This weekend, in the Nationwide Series’ second stop at Daytona International Speedway (DIS), Leffler will return to the seat of the No. 38 machine. He will remain in the No. 38 for the remainder of the season with the exception of events at Bristol Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway where he will pilot the team’s No. 10 entry.

· Seeing Double? You may think you’re seeing double this weekend when two Great Clips Camrys take to the track for Friday night’s Nationwide Series race under the lights of the famed Daytona International Speedway. In addition to the black No. 38 Great Clips Camry driven by Jason Leffler, Braun Racing’s No.11 entry, driven by Brian Scott, will feature a matching Great Clips paint scheme.

· Daytona International Speedway, by the numbers… In 13 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at Daytona, Leffler has logged four top-10 finishes, finishing outside the top-20 on just four occasions. His best performance occurred in the 2006 season-opener when he posted a sixth-place finish after starting 24th. He has completed 1405 of the 1456 possible laps.

Leffler has proved to be a strong qualifier at Daytona, starting inside the top-10 on seven occasions, including one pole (July, 2007). He also has one Daytona pole (2003) from his days racing in the Camping World Truck Series.

· Who’s on the pit box…Veteran crew chief, Eddie Pardue, will call the shots for Leffler and the No. 38 team this weekend at Daytona. Pardue has spent the last ten years at Roush Racing where he moved quickly through the ranks and served as a crew chief since 2006 for the team’s Nationwide Series program.

· Get Fired Up with Great Clips… Great Clips is launching the second round of the Fire Me Up contest. Customers can enter two ways: either by texting “Fire” to Whale (94253) or by visiting www.greatclips.com and choosing the Fire Me Up Sweepstakes. The code is: Fire. The grand prize winner will receive a once in a lifetime trip for two to the Great Clips 300 in Atlanta. In addition, the winner will be able to watch the race from the pits, have a meet and greet with Kasey Kahne and Jason Leffler, ride in the pace car and receive a personalized fire suit. Registration starts on June 7th and ends on August 7th.

· Did you know? Great Clips is the longest-running sponsor in the Nationwide Series…Minneapolis-based Great Clips, Inc. came onto the scene in 2001 as a primary sponsor of Akins Motorsports No. 38 entry, then driven by Christian Elder. Kasey Kahne drove the car from 2003-2005, before Leffler took over the wheel in 2006.

· Leffler on SIRIUS’ Morning Drive every Wednesday… Don’t forget to tune in to SIRIUS Radio’s “Morning Drive” with Mike Bagley and Pete Pistone every Wednesday at 10:30am to hear Leffler’s take on recent events in the Nationwide Series and what you can expect from the week’s upcoming race.

Leffler on the debut of the “new car” this weekend at Daytona

“I don’t really know what to expect this weekend with the new car but I’m still excited about it. I had fun during the test. We were worried about falling behind some of the Cup-affiliated teams but I think that the playing field is pretty level, which is going to be a help to us. It’s bigger car all the way around. It reminds me a lot of driving a truck in the Camping World Series.

As far as handling, the new cars are a little freer so we will have to adjust to that. Going into this weekend, there is not much you can do to be prepared but just make sure your car is put together right and go from there. Having that test day on Wednesday is really important and will allow us more time to adjust to these cars and give us a better idea of what to expect on Friday night. The Nationwide Series is a great series with competitive racing week in and week out. I think the transition to this new car is only going to make it that much better.”

Equipment Information

The No. 38 Great Clips team will hit the track with chassis #BR100 in this weekend’s SUBWAY Jalapeno 250 powered by Coca-Cola. This is same chassis the team ran during the Daytona test in May.
