Tuesday
Shelby Howard / ML Motorsports Daytona International Speedway Preview
Press Release
“When we tested here in May we learned a lot about the new car and gained valuable information for the race Friday night” says crew chief, Chris Rice. “I’m looking forward to racing under the lights at Daytona and to see how the car will handle under race conditions”.
Howard will make his 26th start with ML Motorsports at Daytona International Speedway and says “It’s been a great experience to work with the crew at ML Motorsports and we’ve made some changes this year that will hopefully relate to better finishes” states Howard. “Our cars have progressively gotten better, but we’ve had some bad luck when we’ve been running well; hopefully that will change this weekend. It will be fun to see how the new car performs at Daytona. I think we can come home with a top ten finish this weekend in the new car”.
ML Motorsports will be bringing Chassis #56, a KHI built car, which was tested at Daytona in May and proved to be a solid performing car.
Following the race at Daytona International Speedway, Howard and ML Motorsports will be racing at Chicagoland Speedway, Gateway International Raceway, O’Reilly Raceway Park, and Iowa Speedway – all tracks close to home for the team based out of Warsaw, Indiana.
