Joliet, Ill. (July 7, 2010) – Returning to America’s Heartland for a
four week stretch of summer races in the Midwest, Des Moines, Iowa native
Michael Annett and the No. 15 Pilot Travel Centers Toyota Camry will make
their way to the Windy City this week for the NASCAR Nationwide Series
Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola at Chicagoland Speedway.

As a former ice hockey defenseman for Team Illinois, Annett previously
called Chicago home during his junior year of high school. Leading the
league in penalty minutes, Annett guided Team Illinois to the 2002 Calgary
Mac’s AAA Hockey Tournament Championship before joining the USHL
sanctioned Waterloo Blackhawks back in his home state of Iowa where he was
part of the Clark Cup Championship winning team.

Now off the ice and behind the wheel of a stock car, Annett will hit
Chicagoland Speedway for his second career appearance on the 1.5 mile
D-shaped oval. In a record-setting Nationwide Series race for the fewest
cautions and fewest laps under caution, Annett started 18th and drove
through the checkered flag to finish 17th in last season’s Dollar
General 300 powered by Coca-Cola.

In conjunction with race weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, the No. 15 Pilot
Travel Centers Toyota Camry show car will be making an appearance at the
local Pilot Travel Centers location at 301 North Ridge Road in Minooka,
Ill. on Thursday from 2-6 p.m. and Friday from 1-5 p.m. Annett will be
on-site from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday to sign autographs for store customers.
Additionally, Pilot Travel Centers gift cards and three pairs of tickets
to Friday’s Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola will be given away
in a raffle.

Track activities at Chicagoland Speedway begin on Friday with practice
from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and final practice from 11 a.m. until 12:20 p.m.
Nationwide Series qualifying starts at 4:05 p.m. SPEED will air a live
broadcast of final practice and qualifying. The green flag waves for the
start of the Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola at 8 p.m. Live race
coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN and MRN Radio. All times are ET.
