Blue Ox Joins Forces With Jay Robinson Racing, Mark Green and Kenny Wallace For Iowa Speedway
Press Release
The race on Iowa Speedway will be the first time since Daytona summer 2009 that Blue Ox will be the primary sponsor with Mark Green and the No. 49 Chevy. They will also have deck lid and c-post exposure on the No. 28 Chevy driven by Kenny Wallace for the NNS event. The partnership became a no brainer just a few short weeks ago as Blue Ox became the title sponsor of the USARacing Pro Cup Series event to take place this Friday during the Iowa race weekend.
Blue Ox, of Pender, Neb., is a leading manufacturer of recreational vehicle and towing industry supplies and accessories. With the strong roots, and legacy, of Blue Ox tracing back 84-years to 1926, NASCAR teams and officials have long known the excellence of Blue Ox vehicle accessories … from gooseneck hitches to weight distributing hitches, and … from towbars to track bars!
Adding on to the JRR relationship and partnering up at Iowa Speedway was not a hard decision for Jay Hesse, Blue Ox CEO, “Iowa Speedway is our home track and after signing on as title sponsor for the USARacing Pro Cup Series race we wanted to continue our presence at Iowa Speedway with JRR, Mark and Kenny for the NNS race.
We have been together with JRR for two years now and the timing was right to add on to our sponsorship commitments. The decision to partner with Mark Green and the No. 49 Blue Ox Chevy fit right in with our goals and objectives for this market. The track is close to our Pender, NE headquarters, but also with the number of fans, RV’ers, customers and potential customers who attend the race, it was a win win. We are excited to continue our relationship with Jay Robinson Racing and look forward to a great race weekend in Iowa with Mark Green and Kenny Wallace on Saturday.”
“We are excited to be a part of this big weekend for Blue Ox and are very appreciative for their continued support of our Team,” said owner Jay Robinson. “Blue Ox has been a key part to our 2010 NNS efforts to stay on the track and be competitive all year long.”
“It’s my pleasure to carry the Blue Ox colors for the NNS race in Iowa,” said driver Mark Green. “Blue Ox has a longstanding reputation for producing quality products and is a first class organization that I am glad to be a part of. I am extremely excited to get out on the track in the No. 49 Blue Ox Chevy and make a good run on their local/hometown track.”
JRR, Mark Green, Kenny Wallace and Team Blue Ox will get their first shot on Iowa Speedway on Friday, with Nationwide Series practice. Qualifying is on schedule for Saturday at 4 p.m. The NASCAR Nationwide US Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway is on Saturday, July 31, and ESPN2 will have a live, flag-to-flag telecast starting at 7:00 p.m. with the green flag at 7:30 p.m.
