MOORESVILLE, NC (August 3, 2010) – Braun Racing is pleased to announce Jeff Stankiewicz as the crew chief of the No. 11 entry, driven by Brian Scott, for the remainder of the 2010 season.

Stankiewicz has been serving as interim crew chief for the team since last month’s race at Chicagoland Speedway. In four races with the Clarksville, Indiana-native at the helm, the team has posted an impressive two top-10’s at Chicago and Gateway. Stankiewicz, 27, came to Braun Racing as a car chief in January of 2010. His six ARCA Racing Series championships with Frank Kimmel and one NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship with Kevin Harvick at RCR made Stankiewicz a natural choice of the newly formed No. 11 team.

“I am very impressed with Jeff’s leadership and knowledge,” said team owner, Harry Scott, Jr. “Jeff has exceeded my expectations in the three races as interim and has capitalized on the opportunity to provide the No. 11 team with a great car each week.”

Stankiewicz looks forward to his new leadership role with Braun Racing and the No. 11 team.

“I’m very thankful to Harry Scott, Jr. and Braun Racing for giving me this great opportunity,” said Stankiewicz. “I’m confident we can continue to improve the No. 11 team’s performance and work towards our goal of keeping the Brian Scott up front for our marketing partners, AccuDoc Solutions and BigSpot.com.”

Stankiewicz will assume full time crew chief duties of the No. 11 entry effective immediately.
