Scott prepares for Watkins Glen

“Since I’ve never been to Watkins Glen, I’ve worked really hard on the simulator to give good reference points and baselines. It’s extremely hard to be fast at a racetrack you’ve never seen before, but it’s even more difficult to be fast at a roadcourse right off the bat. You obviously have a lot more turns to remember and perfect in the short amount of practice time you get. The sim has helped tremendously on just being able to reference the racetrack, the layout, timing and flow of the course.”

Scott on new Crew Chief Jeff Stankiewicz

“Jeff has done a tremendous job in the four weeks we have had him at the helm. It has been a natural transition as he was the car chief and it really shows in the way the guys respond to him. He’s been in the trenches with them working for six months, so he knows each personality really well and how to motivate those guys. There’s no doubt that the cars have come to the racetrack really well prepared and he’s made some great calls in the pits. I’m looking forward to working with Jeff and accomplishing our goals together.”

Equipment Information

The No. 11 AccuDoc Solutions team is bringing chassis No. BR31 for this weekend’s Zippo 200. BR31 was last seen at Road America where it survived three late race incidents to finish 13th.
