TBS’s popular and acclaimed original series MY BOYS, which follows the lives of a Chicago sportswriter and her circle of mostly guy friends, will feature a special appearance by NASCAR Nationwide Series driver and 2003 Champion, Brian Vickers in an upcoming episode. The appearance is part of a season-long sponsorship by Nationwide Insurance, with the featured episode airing Sunday, August 8 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS.

After meeting Braun Racing’s NASCAR superstar Brian Vickers, Bobby (Kyle Howard) becomes intrigued with what makes someone a man and enlists his friends to prove their manliness by undertaking the “100 Things a Man Should Be Able to Do.” Meanwhile, Brendan (Reid Scott) has a tough time keeping up with his younger girlfriend.

“Filming My Boys in Feb. was a great experience,” said Brian Vickers. “The cast, crew and director made me feel very comfortable and even if I messed up the lines- we just did another take.. I can’t thank them enough as well as Nationwide Insurance for letting me be a part of it. That said- I don’t think I should quit my day job any time soon.”

In addition to the appearance by Vickers in the episode, he will also appear in a MY BOYS tune-in spot promoting the show and featuring brand awareness for the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The on-air spot will feature PJ (Jordana Spiro) and Bobby, and run throughout the fourth season on TBS. In addition, as sponsor for MY BOYS, Nationwide Insurance branding will be featured prominently throughout the season to raise awareness for the show’s overall sponsorship.

MY BOYS features a sparkling ensemble cast headed by Jordana Spiro (JAG, Must Love Dogs), and also stars Kyle Howard (Related, Orange County), Reid Scott (American Dreams), Michael Bunin (Scrubs), Jamie Kaler (The Family Stone) and Kellee Stewart (Guess Who?).
