With just a handful of NASCAR Nationwide races under her belt, Danica Patrick has tempered expectations for Saturday’s Carfax 250 at Michigan International Speedway.

“I’m hoping for, sort of top 15, top 20 finishes,” said Patrick, who is also running a full IndyCar series schedule.

“We’ll see what we can do. Hopefully, we can get up there with the full test day that we had and me having the time to run down low, run in the middle, run up high. I didn’t see anybody else run up high, but at the end of the day yesterday the team told me to go up there and get a feel for it. Maybe that will pay off in the race.”

Patrick, 28, hasn’t fared well thus far in the Nationwide races. Her best finish was 24th at Chicago on July 9. She was involved in accidents in two of her first three races.

Patrick met with reporters today, before her practice session. She said she did an autograph signing for fans after Thursday’s testing.

“I was actually pleased to see so many fans out,” Patrick said. “It was just a Thursday test day. There was lots of them out there.
