NASCAR won’t penalize Kyle Busch for wrecking Brad Keselowski in Nationwide race at Bristol
Caught in the Catchfence™
After Keselowski got into Busch while battling for the lead, Busch tapped Keselowski in the corner, sending Keselowski into a spin. Keselowski hit the wall but was able to continue and finish 14th. Busch went on to lead the final 32 laps and win the race.
Keselowski is on probation from a pair of incidents this year with Carl Edwards, who twice has retaliated against Keselowski, causing two frightening accidents.
The wreck that resulted from Busch hitting Keselowski was not as violent, but it was retaliation nonetheless.
So what’s the difference?
“Hard racing,” Pemberton said. “When you look at it, he pushed him around the corner and he said he did that. He didn’t hook him in the rear quarter panel. Those guys had been giving and taking all night long and all of that stuff came into play in a lap.
“You evaluate what real estate it was in and all that stuff. But at the end of the day, it was two guys racing hard. They were bumping and running and they were not giving each other any space if they didn’t have to in the closing laps of the race. Nobody else was involved.”
Busch was not called to the hauler afterward the race as Edwards had been following incidents with Keselowski. Edwards was placed on probation for three weeks after his first incident. After the second, he was penalized 60 points, fined $25,000 and put on probation for the rest of the year while Keselowski also was put on probation for the rest of the year. Also earlier this season, Clint Bowyer was put on probation for three races for wrecking Denny Hamlin under caution in the Nationwide race at Dover.

Brad should stop being such a baby. Man up if you can. He should be thanking Kyle for not running every Nationwide race this year. Because if he did – Brad would not be in the point lead. Go Kyle – people need to start showing him the RESPECT he deserves. There sure are a lot of dumb fans out there – booing a winner shame on you!
When a front right corner of a car makes contact with the left rear corner of a car then that is called hooking. I don’t know which race Pemberton was watching. It seems that Kyle needs to be called the baby. He mannerisms reflect those of a child more than anyone else out there.
