Scott talks Atlanta

“Atlanta is a great racetrack. I’ve had a lot of fun there in the Camping World Truck Series. I’m really proud of those two top-10 runs there because there are a lot of elements that make Atlanta exciting. The multiple grooves give us a lot of options for our cars to take different lines through the corner depending on our handling.

The tires fall off a bit, so grip becomes a premium. When you add those kind of elements, there are a lot of strategies that come out during the race and ultimately make for a better race. There’s always a lot of side-by-side racing and different agendas to keep it interesting at Atlanta.”

Scott on Rookie of the Year standings

“When we sat down at the beginning of the season, the Raybestos Rookie of the Year title was a definite goal of ours, but the bigger goal was to put together a season of solid finishes and track time. An obvious byproduct of achieving that goal is the rookie of the year title.

Raybestos does so much for us rookies and the program is a very cool way to learn about the exposure opportunities in the Nationwide Series. This season’s rookie group has had their ups and downs, but it’s still remained pretty close. I’ll be honest, when it’s 15 or 20 laps to go and I see Ricky or Colin in front of me, there’s a little extra motivation to pass them.”

Equipment Information
