Press Release
No. 32 Dollar General Toyota
Auto Club Speedway
CampingWorld.com 300
October 9, 2010
Notes of Interest:
· Sorenson returns to Auto Club Speedway this weekend with the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS)! The CampingWorld.com 300 marks his first NNS appearance at the Fontana-based track since September, 2007.
· By the numbers: Sorenson has six previous NNS starts at Auto Club Speedway. In his six appearances at the two-mile track, he has one top-five and four top-15’s, finishing outside of the top-20 only once. His best start at the speedway is third (Sept, 2005) and his best finish of fifth came in his track debut on February 26, 2005.
· Did you know…? The No. 32 team brought home a third-place finish at Auto Club Speedway in the fall of 2008. In October, 2009, they bettered that by one when the Dollar General Toyota finished in second. Will the trend continue this weekend with a win?
· Chassis #37 is ready to head to the west coast! The Dollar General team will unload chassis #037 this weekend at Auto Club Speedway. This car was last seen on-track at Darlington Raceway where Brian Vickers started from the 17th position and finished ninth (May, 2010). He also started from the pole position and finished second at Michigan International Speedway (August, 2009) in this chassis. In three seasons, this car has finished outside of the top-10 only once (13th at Nashville Superspeedway in April, 2009).
· Be sure to tune in! The CampingWorld.com 300 at Auto Club Speedway is set to go green at 4:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. PT) Saturday. The race will air LIVE on ESPN2, MRN Radio and SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).
· Braun Racing acquired by Turner Motorsports… Recently, it was announced that Turner Motorsports acquired select assets of Braun Racing. The team will continue to operate as Braun Racing for the remainder of the 2010 season. Plans for Turner Motorsports in 2011 include fielding three entries in both the Camping World Truck Series and the Nationwide Series. The NNS driver lineup will be announced in October.
· The Dollar General team heads to California SIXTH in the Nationwide Series Championship Owner’s Points.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Auto Club Speedway with the Nationwide Series. This will be my first time there with the Dollar General team. They run really well there and had a top-10 with Vickers earlier in the season and a second-place finish last fall. I know we had some bad luck last weekend in Kansas, but we are definitely looking to bounce back and get the finish that we know this No. 32 team is capable of, and that’s first.”
