TaxSlayer to join Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s JR Motorsports for nine races in 2011
Press ReleaseTax preparation service TaxSlayer will sponsor JR Motorsports for nine races in 2011 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
TaxSlayer will sponsor Aric Almriola for two races, Dale Earnhardt Jr. for one race (at Bristol in March) and six in the No. 7 car with a driver yet to be determined.
Earnhardt Jr., who will appear in a TaxSlayer commercial, is expected to run four Nationwide races next year, according to the JR Motorsports news release.
Almirola will drive the No. 88 car all season, while Danica Patrick will be in the No. 7 car for 13 races. The drivers for the remaining 22 races have not been announced with the exception of Earnhardt Jr. possibly in the No. 7 at Bristol.
“From a team ownership standpoint, TaxSlayer coming on board is a significant factor in keeping our race team, particularly the No. 88 team, in the hunt for wins and championships,” Earnhardt Jr. said. “Our expectations have always remained high.
