Shelby Howard To Race At Home Track Of Foretravel Motorcoach
Press Release
In its fifth season in the NASCAR Nationwide series, team 70 has had it share of struggles as do all part time single car teams. Recognizing those struggles they searched in 2010 for a more horsepower and new cars which they found with ECR Engines and KHI chassis.
The team has had the support of two long time sponsors, Biomet, founded by Dane Miller (Mary Louise’s husband) and Foretravel Motorcoach of Nacogdoches, Texas. Last November, the World Craniofacial Foundation joined Foretravel on the car and the logo will again be on Howard’s No. 70 Chevrolet.
Returning to TMS this week, the team has prepared a car for this track which both Shelby and crew chief, Chris Rice, agree promises to be a very good and fast car. Shelby is very comfortable having Chris atop the pit box and expressed confidence in both Chris’s skills and the ability of the two to communicate well.
The outlook for Texas is favorable for a top 20 or even a top 15 finish, which excites the team as they bring the action to Foretravel’s home area. In addition, the No. 70 Foretravel Chevrolet will have an in-car camera as Howard wheels the race car around Texas Motor Speedway.
