Final Race of 2010 NNS Season:
- The 2010 season finale at HMS will mark Eric McClure’s 137th career Nationwide Series start and his 3rd at the one-and-a-half-mile facility if he can earn one of 43 starting positions.
- In two previous starts, the 31-year-old driver has completed 91.8% of the total laps and has an average finish of 30th.
- A gear failure in the Virginia native’s debut in 2008 relegated him to a 32nd-place finish. His best finish at the speedway came last season when he recorded a 28th-place finish.
- Chassis No. 35 will be used during the 300-mile event. It was last used at Texas Motor Speedway where the team finished in the position.
“This is the last race for this type of car so I really hope we can qualify for the race. The car we are taking is the better of our two cars and we’ve made all of them with it so far so, hopefully, we can get the car in the show this week and finish the year on a high note.”
