Dodge CEO says Nationwide championship means a lot as company rebounds

The first was at the Los Angeles Auto Show, where Dodge and parent company Chrysler showed off new products that capped a year in which the car manufacturer showed it should survive its reorganization following bankruptcy. The second was the Nationwide Series drivers title with Brad Keselowski.
While the Penske Racing driver’s success on the track probably is not directly correlated to the success of Dodge in the showroom, it is important.
“It means a lot to me because he’s such a great spokesman,” Gilles said last week following the Nationwide Series awards ceremony. “The kid is amazing with the media. He has a level head. He’s humble. He’s from Michigan. You don’t see that very often – a driver from your own backyard.
